October 28, 2020

October is Pastor Appreciation Month!
Take time during the month of October to say a special "thanks" to our pastors! Send an email, a card of thanksgiving, or another affirmation for their ministry at Asbury. Cards can be sent to the church office.

The Apostle Paul calls Christians to care for one another.  But sometimes we are not sure how to care for one another.  Sometimes we are not even sure what to say when someone is going through a difficult season.  In this series, we will examine some difficult subjects (death, suicide, addiction) from a Christian perspective, and learn how we can care for someone going through some dark times.

Join us this Sunday as Pastor Barbara begins the new sermon series "The Caring Congregation."

At our 9 AM in-person worship service, pre-packaged, no-contact communion elements will be offered.

Advent Study Leaders Needed
Pastor Eric is planning an encouraging Advent study and sermon series around the book Sent, written by Pastor Jorge Acevedo. As we long to hold one another close and grow in our faith as we anticipate celebrating the birth of
our Savior, Asbury leaders want to encourage all members to join in a short-term Bible study, but we need facilitators and leaders. Visit asburylv.org/SentLeaders to learn more about how you can be involved for this important faith-building opportunity.

Health Needs Assessment

Asbury's Health Ministry team strives to integrate health and faith through encouraging individuals to live healthier lives. They attempt to guide personal health through counseling, education and referrals to community resources. As we enter November and begin a new care-centered sermon series, the Health Ministry Team would like to determine how they can help you and your family.

Please consider completing the Health Ministry Team survey as they determine what programs and services they can offer to address the physical, psychological, and spiritual needs you and your family may have.

All responses are confidential.

Visit asburylv.org/healthsurvey to complete the assessment.
