YOUNG ASCENSION PROFESSIONALS SOCIAL

We enjoyed getting to meet and see a lot of the new faces from Chamber member companies at our very first Young Ascension Professionals (YAP) Social hosted in June!

WOMEN IN BUSINESS LUNCHEON

Our 2023 Women in Business Event presented by Our Lady of the Lake and hosted at the end of May was a beautiful showcase of collaboration and support of the Chamber and our members. From the largest attendance to date to the support of our sponsors and event hosts to the powerful and witty keynote from Dr. Tina Holland and the addition of our retail vendors, this event continues to cultivate an environment year after year for female professionals to gather, network, be inspired, and have fun.

RESTORE LOUISIANA SMALL BUSINESS LOAN PROGRAM

The Office of Community Development has opened its application period for the Small Business Loan Program for Small Businesses in eligible parishes who were hit by natural disasters in 2020 - 2021. 

• Loans range from $10k to 150K but can go up to $250k. 
• 40% of the loan can be forgiven
• 0% interest 
• 7 year loan term
• No closing or application fee
• No payment for 6 months

To be eligible:

•  You must have 1 to 50 employees. Minimum of 1 FT employee.
•  Live in an eligible parish. Info can be found at SCPDC.org
•  Made $25,000 AGR prior to the storm

Funds can be used for: 

• Rent or Mortgage
• Wages and Benefits
• Utilities
• Inventory
• Equipment necessary for business recovery
