Book Signing by Local Author

Join us in the Parish Hall next Saturday, at 11am, and meet local author, Hope Fattore, as she discusses her book, A Peaceful Transition of Power. Her book explores parenting with purpose and preparing for tomorrow.

Welcome Guest Priest,

The Rev. Louise Samuelson

We would like extend a warm Ascension welcome to the Rev. Louise Samuelson. She will be preaching and celebrating with us at both services today.

Rev. Samuelson joined St. John the Divine Episcopal Church in 2017 and has served as an Associate Rector, providing leadership to the church’s pastoral care, worship, and women’s ministries. Be sure to introduce yourself after the service.

Pray for Us!

Members of St. John the Divine have started an Ascension Prayer team composed of people from SJD and Ascension. They meet in-person at SJD (2450 River Oaks Blvd, Houston, TX 77019) in the Parlor from Noon to 1 pm on Wednesdays. All are welcome to join. They are providing a TEAMS link to those who would like to join but can’t do so in-person. Click HERE!!

This is a mission critical piece of renewal and we are really excited!

So many ways to help!!

We will need traffic directors, advertisers, underwriters, night before set-up, coffee wranglers, money takers, booth watchers, and clean-up crew. I'm sure I am missing something, but please ask how you can help. We need all hands on deck to make this a successful endeavor!!

Announcements

We are looking for individuals who will give the announcements on Sunday mornings at the 10:30 service. Simply go to the lectern during the announcement portion of the service and give a brief synopsis of what is going on in Ascension life. You do not need to read the bulletin to the congregation, just highlight upcoming events and deadlines.
