Welcome to the Rev. Mark Brown

Fr. Mark Brown has served with us the last 5 weeks. This Sunday will be his last Sunday for a while. Please thank him for joining us and for his uplifting and inspirational messages.

Tuesday Night Bible Study

Tuesday Night Bible Study will be taking a break during the Lenten Season. It is our hope that you will be able to join us on Wednesday Nights for the Soup Supper and Lent Teachings. We will continue April 22nd.

Post Service Coffee on Easter Sunday

Easter is one our biggest days of Celebration! Rather than require one team to handle such a large task, we ask for a little bit from everyone. The tables will be set up outside, under the bell and the children will be hunting eggs. Please drop off your contribution of a meat/cheese tray, fruit/veggie tray, crackers, cookies, or other fun snacks.

Flowering of the Cross

One of Ascension’s unique traditions is the Flowering of the Cross on Easter Sunday. We set up an empty, ribbon woven cross, and as people enter they press a flower into the woven ribbons creating a beautiful tapestry of flowers. The tradition started with parishioners bringing flowers from their own gardens, of all colors, shapes and sizes. Ascension provides a few flowers, but we would love for you to bring flowers from your garden to contribute to this wonderful occasion.

Campus Workday

Join us on April 5th for some landscaping and campus clean-up, so bring your rakes, shovels, and hardworking attitudes, and let's welcome spring!

Donate a Lily

There are no flowers on the Altar during Lent. However, come Easter, the Altar will be overflowing with beautiful Easter lilies. Please donate a lily and write your special dedication in the flower book or send it to the office (office@ascensionepiscopalchurch.org).

Cost is $25. Thank you. Please use the link below.

Easter Music Needs Underwriters

Please make an offering to help underwrite the Easter Musicians. They were wonderful at Christmas and we look forward to a repeat performance. Donations may be dedicated in memory of, in honor of, in thanksgiving for, etc., and will be acknowledged in the Easter orders of service. Donations will be accepted through Easter, but in order for the dedication to appear in the bulletin, it must be received by the office no later than April 14th. Please email the church office (office@ascensionepiscopalchurch.org). Please use the button below to make your donation.

Reestablishing the LEV ministry

We are reestablishing the LEV, Lay Eucharistic Visitor, ministry. This ministry brings communion to those who are unable to attend church. It is vital that we keep contact with our homebound parishioners during this transition time. We are seeking individuals who are interested, training will be available. Please speak with Sam in the office or Tom Sutton.
