Bishop Visit

Bishop Monterroso will be visiting Ascension on June 7, 2026. He will celebrate and preach at the 10:30 service. Please read his bio HEREHe thoroughly enjoyed our fancy coffee hour, so we will host similarly. Please let Samantha know that you are contributing bite sized pastries or fruit.

Following the Bishop's Tea, at approx. 12:30 on June 7th, there will be an informative presentation about the partnership and progress between St. John the Divine and Ascension. We encourage you all to stay and hear the exciting progress that the working groups have made, where we are headed and how you can help.

A Special Prayer invite

 The members of the Ascension and St John the Divine Prayer Group that typically meet on Wednesday afternoons are holding a special prayer here at Ascension on Tuesday prior to the Ladies Bible Study. ALL are welcome and encouraged to attend, so if you are nearby, on your lunch break, or have a free moment, PLEASE meet in the church library from 12:15 to 12:45. Hope to see you there!

Summer Choir

Come join the summer choir! Sometimes called pick-up choir, summer choir starts June 14th; this means there are no Wednesday evening rehearsals, no robing, no processing; just come Sunday morning at 9:30 to learn an simple unison or two part anthem!

God Lights Our Way

St John the Divine invites your youngsters to 2026 VBS!!  Join children 4 years old to 5th grade and GLOW with the flow and join us for the brightest week of the year as we explore what it means when Jesus says,


"I am the light of the world." (John 8:12)


The brand-new VBS music video for GLOW is here! It is the Family Hymnal's latest release and this high-energy song will have kids singing, dancing, and discovering. Watch the video (link on the registration page), learn the moves, and then join us for a week full of fun, faith, and shining bright together!


Register HERE!  Cost is $50 per person., scholarships are available, just ask Sam in the office.  Registration open through June 7.
