Ascension's Stewardship Campaign

Your generosity is how we fund our ministries at Ascension Episcopal church. The Vestry makes a budget based on the pledges we receive from you. Giving the gift of your 2025 pledge is one of the most important things you can do. We thank you so much for your generosity as we all seek to love and serve Jesus Christ through Ascension Episcopal Church. If you did not pick up your letter last Sunday, it is in the mail. If you do not receive one, please let the office know.  Pledges will be lifted in gratitude and thanksgiving to God on December 15th.

“Forgotten Senior” Program

Thank you for stepping up!! All bags have been picked up. Please return them by next Sunday, December 1st, where they will be placed on the altar and lifted in God’s name in gratitude for Ascension’s generosity and to bless those that will receive them.

Family Ingathering and Celebration

Traditionally, this would be a first fruits celebration, where families bring the first and richest of their harvest to the church.  As harvest season will have passed by this date, we are not calling it a First Fruits Celebration, but that is the spirit of the gathering. 

To understand the diversity of the Ascension family and to celebrate each of our beautiful cultures, we ask that each person bring their favorite dish to this potluck celebration and dress in your cultural best. Following the 10:30am service on December 15, we will gather in the Parish Hall and eat together as a family in gratitude for God, his many blessings, and for each other, our Ascension family. 

Children's Choir

The Children's Choir will be singing at on December 15th! Under the direction of the Organist Choirmaster, Alice Serralta, our youth will practice in the sanctuary, immediately following the 10:30 service for 15-20 minutes. The choir is open to children’s/youth grades K through 12. 

Rehearsals will be held 11/24, 12/1, and 12/8.  

Vestry Nominations

Do you know a person who has demonstrated a passion for Ascension and shown themselves to be a leader? We are taking nominations of people you think will be good vestry members. Each nomination should include the nominee’s name, and what you think qualifies them for this leadership position. We ask that you speak to them first about their willingness to serve. They should be confirmed pledging members who are in good standing. Thank you for your help in this process which is vital to the ongoing life of Ascension. Just drop their information in the plate or speak to our current Senior Warden, Mike Black.  

Online Directory

The Online directory has been launched! You should have received an email from Realm with the heading: “Ascension Episcopal Church: Join our online community!” If you did not, please see Samantha in the office. After you set up your account you will be able to view the directory, monitor your giving, print statements, and make corrections to your contact info. You must have an account to view the directory; this ensures all information is protected.

At anytime if you decide that you do not want to be listed in the online directory, you may either adjust the privacy settings from your account or you may contact the office in writing (either drop a note, or send an email to office@ascensionepiscopalchurch.org).  

Sunday School Help

As we head into another year of youth Sunday School,

we'd love to get more teachers and assistants on board!

We have a truly great group of kids, and our curriculum makes

it easy to guide lessons - even if you aren't a Bible expert! Teachers and assistants just need to complete a quick certification course through the diocese. We're glad to work around your schedule! Sign up to donate flowers each Sunday! Just indicate on the flower chart, posted in the narthex and enter your dedication in the book below it. You may drop your donation in the alms basin or send it to the office, marked flower fund. The cost is $100, including delivery. Tuesday Night Bible Study

on the Gospel Of Luke

We began a brand new study of the Gospel of Luke. The Class will be held in the Church Library every Tuesday at 6:30pm, and for those who cannot attend in person, we will also have a Zoom link available.

This is a brand new study,

and it is a great time for you to join us.

Women's Tuesday Bible Study, 1pm

 The Women's Tuesday Bible Study is a group of amazing women, led by amazing women. Join these ladies every Tuesday at 1pm! Toyin Agboola guides this Bible Study in a safe trustworthy setting as they learn about the Bible. Julie Collins keeps things organized on the administration side, sending out emails, reminders, and the weekly Zoom link. You can contact her at collins_collins@comcast.net and she will happily get you into the swing of things, or just come by!!
