Who loves Lawn Care?
Every year Mrs. Boockmeier, Mrs. Lyons, and a dedicated group of parents/friends have prepared Ascension's outdoor gardens and lawn for the first day of school. If you love mowing, weeding, or getting deep into the dirt please join us on AUGUST 16th at 5:30. We need extra hands this year. More hands, make for less work! Bring your gloves, garden shovels, or just yourself.

Hospitality after All Masses at Ascension Church,
August 12 and 13th.
Please plan on staying after Mass for refreshments and fellowship.
Saturday evening hospitality will be in front of the church. The Knights of Columbus are hosting Sunday's Hospitality and will be on the green with the playground open.
If the weather is not cooperative, we will be gathering in the gym, which is handicap accessible.
Hospitality will be held the second weekend of the month, we look forward to seeing you there!

Playgroup! Playgroup! Playgroup!
St Edmund had New StEPs (New St. Edmund Parents), Ascension had POLO (Parents of Little Ones). Both began as infant-toddler playgroups that grew into ministries of mutual support, prayer, and service. Both groups faded away over five years ago.
There is a desire to RESURRECT this ministry for and by young parents and their children. We can build
upon Ascension School’s current monthly toddler group, Mini-Chargers.
Will you help me? I need the help of current parents of infants and toddlers and former POLO
and New StEPs members.
If you applicate the role New StEPs/POLO played in your family’s life, or if you are interested in helping form a playgroup that can grow friendships, families and faith;
please attend the planning meeting on Saturday, September 9 at 8:00 am at Murphy Hall*, St. Edmund.
Please call or email me with your questions or to let me know that
you are interested in being part of this ministry effort.
Thank you,
Diane Lawrence

*The Ramp Entrance to Murphy Hall is located at the back of St. Edmund Church, by the parking lot, between the two garages. Easy stroller access!
