Almighty God, you have created us out of the dust of the earth: Grant that these ashes may be to us a sigh of our mortality and penitence, that we may remember that it is only by your gracious gift that we are given everlasting life; through Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen

LENT IS ALMOST UPON US -
It Begins on Ash Wednesday, February 17th!
Booklets will be available at the 10am and 4pm Ash Wednesday Services
Because of the COVID restrictions, it is unlikely that Trinity will be sponsoring in-person programs during Lent. However, booklets are being distributed (just ask in the office) that are yours to keep and are free of charge, that provide daily readings and reflections for you to read, every day of Lent. Authored by a diverse group of writers under the umbrella of Living Compass, whose model is to provide "...tools and trainings to assist individuals, families, and congregations as they seek to live the life God calls them to be is all areas of life -- heart, soul, strength, and mind. We use these as our four compass points to help guide and equip us in eight areas of wellness." More information is provided within the booklet which follows the Revised Common Lectionary Readings for Lent 2021.

Lenten Lament
From Episcopal Relief and Development
As Lent approaches this year, we lament. We lament all those whose lives were lost during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our hearts break for all of the people who are no longer with us. We also lament other losses that include jobs and livelihoods, the opportunity to travel to visit loved ones and the ability to worship together in our church buildings. So much was lost, with little or no time to lament that which was lost. Because of the magnitude of these collective losses, we decided to focus on lament as the theme for the 2021 Lenten Meditations.
You are invited to meditate on these reflections daily and to engage the “ Four Steps of Lament ,” by resting, reflecting, repenting and ultimately being restored to God and to one another. Read more here.

Online Worship -- seeking your feedback
In April of this year, we will celebrate one year of online worship. The advent of Covid brought many challenges for our parish, not only in our inability to gather on Sunday, but also in our inability to physically connect with one another through prayer and meeting. Through our persistence and faith, we learned the many facets and nuances of live stream video, although we still have much more to learn. In May of last year, we made a sizable investment in new video equipment to improve the quality of our online worship experience. During the year we experienced several unexpected technology glitches and malfunctions, however walked away with more knowledge of video and software technology.
In our quest to continue to improve and enhance our services, we would like your feedback. Since it is our goal to continue to live stream our services even after we are able to regather, we would like to know how we can improve and enhance our online Sunday services.
We ask that you please take the time to provide us your input. What can we do to either improve the quality of the service or the service itself? You can email your feedback to Ruben Cota Schultz at rdcjr@sbcglobal.net or you may contact him directly at 949.338.2283. Your honesty and feedback are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
