Brothers & Sisters,
"Come, ye sinners, poor and needy,
weak and wounded, sick and sore;
Jesus ready stands to save you,
full of pity, love, and pow'r."
Personal reflection is a core characteristic of an apprentice to Jesus.
Begin your 2025 Lenten journey by remembering your mortality and repenting for your sins.
On March 5, we will offer morning (6:30-8a) and evening (6-7p) opportunities for Come & Go Ashes. Enter our sanctuary and you will be handed a personal devotional guide. After your personal time of reflection you can step forward to the altar to receive the imposition of ashes on your forehead or top of your hand. Then you can depart in silence.
"Come, ye weary, heavy laden,
lost and ruined by the fall;
if you tarry till you're better,
you will never come at all."
-Joseph Hart, 1759

This Lenten season we will study the Gospel of John from beginning to end, in our sermon series "BEHOLD".
Unlike Matthew, Mark & Luke, John provides not only a historical account of Jesus’ ministry, but paints a theological portrait of the “Word Made Flesh”. It is John’s words are “written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name" (John 20:31).
We encourage you to join one of our church-wide study groups, in which we will use “JOHN: Life in His Name”, by Kyle Idleman. Individually, we will provide a 40-day reading plan to read John’s Gospel from beginning to end.
Invite someone to join you on Sundays at 8:15a, 9:30a & 10:45a as we “BEHOLD the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” (John 1:29).
Seeking a Holy Lent,
Pastor Nathan

Connor Lee Fisher passed away in January 2022 at the age 28. Connor had bravely battled drug addiction for several years and had recently expressed his desire to become a drug addiction counselor. | |
“Soles for Souls” Used Shoe Drive came about when CARB member Cammie Quinn recently met Jim & Tammy Fisher. The Fishers moved to Ross Bridge last October, and Cammie volunteered to assist them in finding a home for items they were seeking to donate.
In their conversation, Jim & Tammy shared the story of their son, Connor Lee Fisher (picture left). In this conversation a vision emerged for a used shoe drive to benefit both children in foster care (through Garrett’s Place) and adults (through Sisters in Christ). The Fisher’s embraced the idea of holding this drive in memory of Connor and his commitment to help others.
We will collect shoes at CARB from Wednesday, March 5 -
Sunday, March 16.
