Loudoun County has received approval from the Virginia Supreme Court to establish an Adult Behavioral Health Docket in the Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, the first of its kind in Virginia for this type of court.
The docket is designed to:
- Provide access to safe and effective treatment and supervision for eligible individuals in the community as an alternative to incarceration.
- Reduce the need for crisis services by enhancing the defendant’s access to behavioral health treatment.
- Reduce recidivism, or reoffending.
| | | Traffic Pattern Change at Route 9 and Route 287 Intersection to Begin July 14 | |
Motorists are advised that a significant traffic pattern change will begin Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the intersection of Route 9 and Route 287 for the construction of intersection improvements. The new traffic pattern will shift the intersection southeast of its current configuration with the following impacts for drivers traveling through this area:
- On Route 9, traffic heading east will shift right and traffic heading west will shift left. The existing eastbound lane closure on Route 9 will remain in place.
- On Route 287, traffic heading north will shift right, while Route 287 traffic heading south will shift left.
