Opportunity to Speak up About Data Centers in Loudoun County

The Board of Supervisors is considering a Zoning Ordinance Amendment to require all new data center developments to obtain a Special Exception (SPEX) before proceeding. This means that data centers would no longer be permitted "by-right" in certain zoning districts and would instead require careful review and approval by the Board of Supervisors.

We strongly encourage you to voice your support for this amendment by submitting comments to the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors ahead of their Public Hearing on February 12th at 6:00pm at the Loudoun County Government Center.

Here’s how you can make your voice heard:

1. Sign up to speak at the Public Hearing:Visit Loudoun.gov/SignUpToSpeak to register to speak either in person or over the phone.

2. Submit written comments to the full Board: Email your thoughts directly to the Board of Supervisors at BOS@Loudoun.gov.

3. Send questions directly to Supervisor Glass: Email your thoughts or questions directly to Broad Run District Supervisor Sylvia Glass at Sylvia.Glass@Loudoun.gov.
