February Board Meeting Recap:

• Mills tennis court will be restored with post-tension concrete, which carries a 20-year warranty.
• Outside Racquet Members permitted to play pickleball in the basketball gym only during designated pickleball hours. See posted schedule for details. ORMs may use the gym during open gym time by paying the daily guest fee.
• There is only one foot bridge remaining to be replaced, and will be replaced with composite materials to match all the others.
• We have a new company to help us to manage the geese population at our lakes. Welcome Geese Chasers! 
• Our new auditor is Johnson, Bremmer, Ignacio CPAs.
• Saxony Terrace timber retaining wall to be replaced with stone.
• We will start to post the monthly soccer fields rental calendar on the website.
• The contract was renewed for our sports pavilion management company AAG. 
• The current estimated delivery time for our new racquet sports bubble air conditioner is mid-May. Residents may experience some hot days inside the bubble until our A/C is up and running. Please be patient and thank you for understanding.

Yard Waste Season

Republic services will resume picking up yard waste on Monday, March 6th, 2023.

Yard debris can be placed on the curbside up to 2 days prior to pick‐up. Yard waste can be placed out in a container specifically marked “Yard Waste” or in paper lawn bags. 

Yard waste does not include any materials arising from tree removal, land clearing, or development activities (i.e.- hired landscaping contractors). For more information, click here, and scroll down to the second to last section titled Yard Waste/Compost.

Lake Ashburn Improvements Town Hall

• Residents are invited to hear about progress made on the design of improvements to Lake Ashburn at the Lakes Community Center, March 21 at 6pm. The meeting will also be available via Zoom and the link will be sent via separate announcement.
• Five months ago it was announced that the Loudoun County Storm Management Program identified Ashburn Lake as one of its top projects to fund in 2023. The State of Virginia has committed a matching grant, bringing the total committed investment to $4.2 million.
• What does this mean for Ashburn Village residents? A cleaner, healthier, deeper lake that is fully funded by grants.

The pool hallway and access to the indoor pool is scheduled to re-open to the public on Saturday 3/4. The sauna and steam room will remain closed until Monday 3/6. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Prom Attire Donation Box

Help a local girl's prom wishes come true! Have old dresses, shoes and jewelry you would like to donate? AVSP has a “Prom Wishes” donation box in our lobby until March 19^th.

New Pro Shop

We now have a pro shop in our upstairs lobby! At our pro shop you’ll find products to help you get through your next workout, tennis session or swim lesson. 

Membership Photo

Members must have an up-to-date photo on their account to enter the AVSP. If you enter via the express entry with no photo on file, you will be asked to exit and enter through the main lobby entrance. We are working on adding/updating pictures to everyone’s profile, please be patient with us during this process, we appreciate your cooperation.
