9 PM Routine

Just a reminder to lock your car doors, and keep valuables out of sight to deter “crimes of opportunity.” Also, do not forget to lock up your garages and home doors! Please remember to report any suspicious activity by calling the non-emergency line 703-777-1021. For more information, click HERE.

Check Writing Policy Reminder

If you are one of a few owners still paying by check at the HOA office, this message is for you. Our payment policy requires that we collect a $25 processing fee for monthly assessments paid by personal check at the HOA office. Annual payments by personal check will continue to be accepted without a processing fee. Beginning, April 1st, we will strictly be enforcing this policy. Alternative ways for paying assessment dues include: signing up for the direct debit program or paying through your bank's bill pay.

Click HERE for more information and select the How to Pay Assessments tab. Please note you will be required to login to the website to view this information.

Arborist Presentation Video Available

Thank you to the residents that attended the April 11th presentation from Growing Earth Tree Care. We had over 50 residents in attendance. Topics included: Best practices for tree care, including mulch, pest management, what to plant, and much more.

***Renovations***

The Steam room is currently closed, we are working on a repair and hope to have a solution soon. We apologize for the inconvenience.

The AVSP Parking lot will be closed to the public for concrete repair Monday, May 1st – Wednesday, May 3rd. There will be handicap parking and 6 drop off/pick up spaces available. Please plan accordingly and if you are able to walk or bike to the facility we recommend that you do.

Thank you for your understanding.

Year Round Racquet Sports Bubble!

We are actively working on solutions to temporarily cool the tennis bubble while we wait on the air conditioner unit that is delayed. We know it has been hot inside the bubble and we appreciate everyone’s patience as we work to improve this amenity for our residents and turn it into a year round structure.

Our sports bubble is staying up permanently. Work has begun to install the necessary electrical components and concrete pad prior to the air conditioner unit arriving later this year. The unit was supposed to arrive in time for summer, but we now heard that the manufacturer has a delay in getting the necessary components. This means that we will miss out on the entire summer. We are considering our options and will provide an update on the summer tennis bubble and related programming.

Changes to Checking In

Anyone entering the facility who is not a resident or member scanning in will have to give their information to the front desk attendant. We will no longer be using the QR code for guests to enter the facility. Thank you for understanding.

Membership Photo

Members must have an up-to-date photo on their account to enter the AVSP. If you enter via the express entry with no photo on file, you will be asked to exit and enter through the main lobby entrance. We are working on adding/updating pictures to everyone’s profile, please be patient with us during this process, we appreciate your cooperation.

FRIDAY SHOUT OUTS

Phil said, "Kudos to the Board, staff and consultants on the tree presentation April 11th. And great work on the Boulevard that is really showing off this year. We know all the hard work and dedication of the many volunteers to get this far and the investments $ that the Board chose to make didn't happen by chance. Thank you again for all the great work to date."

Thank You!
