FACILITIES & GROUNDS



Projects completed this week by the Facilities and Grounds crew included:


  • Removed 6 stumps with grinder
  • Moved pickleball nets back to Mills courts
  • Added cold patch to sinking part of trail
  • Watered Farmwell signs multiple times
  • Repaired stuck door at Pavilion boiler room
  • Repaired faucet at Mills recreation center
  • Trimmed tree blocking school zone sign
  • Put 200 feet of hose and hose reel on indoor pool deck
  • Picked up trashcans left on Killawog
  • Removed large branches at Cardiff playground
  • Removed pipe at lakes tennis courts
  • Trimmed tree on Cessna

Annual Property Reviews In Progress


These inspections are done annually to ensure all homeowners keep up with their exterior maintenance and are following Ashburn Village rules and regulations.

All reviews are performed by AVCA Covenants Staff. Click HERE for the right of access policy. Staff does not enter fenced yards or access decks during these reviews, except if a Resale Certificate Package is requested.
 
 

Maintenance at the Lakes Racquet Sports Courts


Starting JUNE 8th, Courts 1, 2, and 3 Will be Closed For Maintenance. Courts 4, 5, and 6 Will Remain Open.

What is going on at Fincastle Field?


Contractors for Dominion Energy are burying electrical cable to feed a new meter at Fincastle Field, to repair the lighting and irrigation. Crews are expected to work on Saturday and into next week.
 

NO LITTERING!


Please, when you are out walking, fishing, etc. make sure you place your trash in the trash cans.


Also, the AVCA has installed containers at all our lakes for used fishing line and hook disposal. Improperly discarded fishing line and hooks may injure wildlife. Please be a responsible fisher and place these in the containers for safe, clean disposal.
 
 

2024 Paving Project



The 2024 Paving Project continues June 10th through 18th. Homeowners in these areas should watch for No Parking signs. For Agawam Terrace residents, we will be allowing overnight parking at the Glenburn Terrace Park lot on the night of June 18th.

All work is “weather permitting” and the schedule may flex if work in some areas is delayed. Look for alternate parking on nearby VDOT streets. Here's a schedule for the affected neighborhoods:

No Parking 7am-7pm

June 10- Lemon Spring Terrace, Rootstown Terrace & Minthill Terrace

June 12- Tippecanoe Terrace & Tioga Terrace

June 17- Aberdeen Terrace, Agawam Terrace & Management Office


Pave/Stripe

No Parking 7am-6am (24 hours)

June 11- Lemon Spring Terrace, Rootstown Terrace & Minthill Terrace

June 13- Tippecanoe Terrace & Tioga Terrace

June 18- Aberdeen Terrace, Agawam Terrace & Management Office


Trails

Closure 7am-7pm

June 24 through June 28- Trails along Ashburn Village Blvd from Louisa Drive to Ashburn Elementary School, and from Gala Circle to Bristow Circle.


Crack Fill

July 1- Trails along Ashburn, Alder, Beech, and Cedar Lakes. Closing sections as needed while applying crack fill.

The Marina is open for Residents of Ashburn Village only. Until June 17th the hours will be Saturday and Sunday from 11am-5pm. To use a boat you must check in at the AVSP front desk and sign a waiver.
