PLEASE

Dispose of Fishing Line and Hooks

PROPERLY

We have recieved concerns from residents that fising line and hooks are being left on common area.

The AVCA has installed containers at all our lakes for used fishing line and hook disposal. Improperly discarded fishing line and hooks may injure residents pets and wildlife. Please be a responsible fisher and place these in the containers for safe, clean disposal.

AVCA Now has a Free On-Site Battery Recycling for Residents

Why should I dispose of batteries properly? The toxic materials within the batteries can be released into the environment and pose serious threats to human health and the environment. If placed in landfills, the toxic materials can leak into the soil, which can then reach our water supply.

Batteries can be dropped off at the AVCA management office Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.

Dry cell batteries only, including:

  • Alkaline (AAA, AA, C, D, 9 volt, Lantern)
  • Cadmium
  • Iron

Starting Sunday 9/3 the AVSP Parking Lot will be closed for a week for VillageFest Prep. The circle will be open for drop off and pick up only.

The indoor pool is currently closed as we replace the tile on the pool deck. The outdoor pool will be open starting at 5 AM Monday to Friday and 7 AM Saturday and Sunday. All programming will take place outside. As always there will be at least 2 lanes open for residents at all times.

Friday Shoutouts

Corinne said, "Thanks for the repairs to the fence on both sides of Louisa Drive. The addition of the metal plates around the bases of the 4x4s will prevent further damage. Your response to my report of the damage is much appreciated"

A Happy Homeowner said, "The Sports Pavilion is an amazing benefit to owning a home in Ashburn Village. The membership is included in the HOA fee and it is super convenient. I really enjoy playing racket ball, going swimming, playing ping pong, and playing basketball. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. The lake right next to the pavilion has great fishing and paddle boats and kayaks. The rental of the kayak and paddle boats are included as well which makes it so nice. They have really nice trails around the pavilion which are excellent for walking or running. They have classes there that will meet your fitness requirements and some of them are free as well. If you decide to buy a home in Ashburn Village, you will be very happy with the pavilion."

Thank You!
