Board of Directors Election Information - Online Voting Opens Next Week September 19th

Owners will once again be eligible to vote electronically using a third-party representative, Vote HOA Now. This is a safe and efficient method to increase participation while saving both time and money. Each property with an email on file will receive an email invitation to vote around September 19th from the community voting site. Please be sure to add this email address ([email protected]) to your safe sender list/address book so you can participate in the vote.

AVCA Now has a Free On-Site Battery Recycling for Residents

Why should I dispose of batteries properly? The toxic materials within the batteries can be released into the environment and pose serious threats to human health and the environment. If placed in landfills, the toxic materials can leak into the soil, which can then reach our water supply.

Batteries can be dropped off at the AVCA management office Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. There is a 5 batteries daily limit per household.

Dry cell batteries only, including:

• Alkaline (AAA, AA, C, D, 9 volt, Lantern)
• Cadmium
• Iron
• Lead acid
• Magnesium 
• Mercury 
• Nickel metal hydride
• Silver
• Zinc carbon
• Lithium batteries

NO SWOLLEN BATTERIES ARE ACCEPTED!

Reminder to Leash Your Pets

Per our Govering Documents, page 45-46 pets shall not be permitted upon the Common Area unless accompanied by someone who can control the pet and unless carried or leashed.



Loudoun County Leash Law

All dogs are required to be leashed unless they are on the owner’s property, or are in a designated space (fenced dog park). For more information about Loudoun’s animal related laws, please refer to the Loudoun County Code of Ordinances, Chapter 612.13 under Running At Large. 

Outdoor Pool Hours / Indoor Pool Update

The indoor pool will reopen on Monday, September 18th with a brand new pool deck. The outdoor pool's last day will be Sunday, September 17th. All programming will take place outside until the indoor pool reopens. As always there will be at least 2 lanes open for residents at all times.

Marina

The Marina is open on Saturday and Sundays from 11 AM to 5 PM. Please check in at the front desk for a life vest and to sign a waiver.

Year-Round Racquet Sports Bubble!

The tennis bubble will stay up for the summer, however, the air conditioner is delayed by the manufacturer. The bubble will be used without AC weather permitting. Programming will be moved to the Lakes outdoor tennis courts if the bubble is too hot, as determined by the tennis pros. Fans will be placed in the tennis bubble. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we work to improve this amenity for our residents and turn it into a year-round structure. 

Changes to Checking In

Anyone entering the facility who is not a resident or member scanning in will have to give their information to the front desk attendant. We will no longer be using the QR code for guests to enter the facility. Thank you for understanding.

Membership Photo

Members must have an up-to-date photo on their account to enter the AVSP. If you enter via the express entry with no photo on file, you will be asked to exit and enter through the main lobby entrance. We are working on adding/updating pictures to everyone’s profile, please be patient with us during this process, we appreciate your cooperation.
