AVCA Now has a Free On-Site Battery Recycling for Residents

Why should I dispose of batteries properly? The toxic materials within the batteries can be released into the environment and pose serious threats to human health and the environment. If placed in landfills, the toxic materials can leak into the soil, which can then reach our water supply.

Batteries can be dropped off at the AVCA management office Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. There is a 5 batteries daily limit per household.

Dry cell batteries only, including:

  • Alkaline (AAA, AA, C, D, 9 volt, Lantern)
  • Cadmium
  • Iron
  • Lead acid
  • Magnesium
  • Mercury
  • Nickel metal hydride
  • Silver
  • Zinc carbon
  • Lithium batteries

NO SWOLLEN BATTERIES ARE ACCEPTED!

Friday Shoutouts

Smiling Homeowners said "Compliments and kudos

to Marck Rossy and Ron Rector for responsiveness! We'd recently had a concern re clean-up and possible dead tree issues in the common area behind our home. They both came to inspect the next morning, and Ron arranged for the Village's arborist to come out later that same afternoon to tag trees in question. The day after that, a thorough clean-up of the area took place. WOW! Just WOW!"

Thank You!
