FACILITIES & GROUNDS

Projects completed this week by the Facilities and Grounds crew included:

Replaced 5 twenty foot light poles
Replaced electrical outlets on the island
Rehung windscreen at Sports Pavilion
Found and marked leaks on Sports Pavilion roof
Removed tree across path near office
Removed broken branches behind Livonia Ter.
Replaced light in steam room
Stored fans in building for the season
Repaired dog station on Bruceton Mills Cir.
Repaired sign on Victorias Cross Ter.

Leave The Leaves

When cleaning up your yard of leaves, please consider the following:

Mow the leaves to shred them and leave them. They provide a natural fertilizer for your lawn. It's best to do this several times during the fall to avoid accumulation.
When disposing of excess leaves, bag them in a paper bag and leave them for yard waste pickup. Do not push them onto common areas and do not push them down the storm drains.

Reminder: Crosswalk Safety

Please be mindful of our crosswalks. We’ve recently been informed that the crosswalk at the intersection of Gloucester and Marblehead is a particular concern. Even when the pedestrian signal says "WALK," cars often speed through, trying to beat pedestrians in the crosswalk.

State law requires drivers to yield to pedestrians in a crosswalk. Please stay safe out there.

Important Reminder: Sports Pavilion Crosswalk

This is a friendly reminder to avoid parking or stopping in the crosswalk at the Sport Pavilion. Crosswalks are designed to provide a safe and accessible path for pedestrians, including those with strollers or mobility aids. Parking in this area not only creates safety hazards but also disrupts accessibility for others.

Please ensure your vehicle is parked in designated spaces only. Let’s work together to keep our community safe and respectful for everyone.

Important Notice:

The indoor pool will be closed to the public starting at 1 PM on Saturday, 12/21, for draining and cleaning.

We plan to reopen at 7 AM on Thursday, 12/26.
