October 24th Board Meeting Recap

  • Automatic irrigation will be installed at our one remaining entrance monument that does not have it yet, near Marblehead Drive.
  • A reminder to renters of community centers: Please do not take the party outside of the rec center into the parking lot and keep the door and windows closed to minimize sound that carries over to the neighbors.
  • The 2023 budget is approved and there is going to be an increase related to inflation and to keep our reserves fully funded. Did you know? Assessments have been flat for the last few years and decreased in 2020. They are at the same level that they were twelve years ago. Assessment notices to be mailed in November.
  • Landscape bedding enhancements will be installed at fourteen locations throughout Ashburn Village where they have declined over the years.
  • VillageFest 2023 is going back to having a carnival as it used to be before 2020.
  • The tennis bubble is going up and is going to stay up permanently after adding an air conditioner.

FRIDAY SHOUT OUTS

Mary says, "A friend of 40 years visited Ashburn for the first time. She was astounded by its beauty, landscaping, and fountains at the lakes. So I told her that this village is spectacular because of how hard you work to maintain the landscapes, common areas, and amenities. Appreciate your respectful maintenance of the U.S. flags in the back of the sports pavilion as well."

Lydia says, "Thank you to everyone that decorated for Halloween this year. Halloween is one of my favorite holidays and I had a blast driving around the community and seeing the spirit of the holiday come alive. Also, a huge shout out to the residents that participated in the Halloween House Decorting Contest. I am amazed by the creative effort and thought put into the decorations. Thank you for bringing joy to our community."

Thank You!
