GENERAL MANAGER'S REPORT
The following are major Board actions from the July 26 meeting:
- Approved new enclosures for trash dumpsters at rec centers and sports pavilion.
- Approved new playground for sports pavilion using grant money from the state.
- Formed election committee.
- Approved a smaller annual meeting mailing package. The meeting will be October 20 at 6pm and will be virtual. All voting to be done ahead of time online or by absentee ballot.
- Approved amended election procedures and policies, available on the website.
- Approved amended Misconduct and Inappropriate Behavior policy, available on the website.
- Approved amended vehicle parking policy, available on the website. Places a time limit of 14 days for continuous parking in an unassigned space in townhouse parking areas, whereas previously there was no time limit. These spaces are not to be used for storage of vehicles. Motorcycles may be covered, as long as the license plates can be easily viewed. Contact the AVCA office to request enforcement.
- Amend the sports pavilion membership policy for apartments to line up with the policy for owners. A family membership includes all dependent children under 26 years old..

FACILITIES & GROUNDS
Pavilion Lakes Fountain - we have received a number of questions about the fountain. The unit had to be sent in for repairs and we are looking at about a 6 to 8 week timeframe to have this back up and running.
Projects completed this week by the Facilities and Grounds crew include:
- Scraped and pressure-wash tunnel at Ashburn Elementary
- Moved Pavilion bleachers to the Lakes Recreation Center
- Installed soap dispensers at the Lakes locker room
- Repainted blue handicap spots at Pavilion
- Replaced light pole on Livonia Terrace
- Assembled pickleball nets for installation at the Woods courts

ANNUAL ARCHITECTURAL INSPECTIONS
Annual reviews are in progress. It's a good time of year to walk your property. Please remember to put your trash cans away promptly and mow your grass regularly. Thank you for maintaining your home.
Recently completed streets: Royal Crest, Olive Green, Lost Mocassin, LaPlume, Paw Paw.
Zones 4 and 5 inspections have been completed!
AVCA inspectors have right of access on lots while conducting architectural inspections. We will not enter fenced yards or stand on decks.

We look forward to having your kiddos attend and build friendships along the way.
Looking for Aftercare this Fall for your children? Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion has openings and registration has already begun. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 2:45pm-6:00pm. We have bus transportation from Ashburn Elementary, Dominion Trail, and Discovery. We offer afternoon snack, homework help, STEM, outside and gym games provided daily.
Boot Camp with Katie will run through August 29. Classes meet Monday and Wednesdays 6-7PM. The summer packages are still available to purchase. 8 classes for $100 or drop-ins for $15.
Please remember to register for GroupX classes! In the event of a cancellation or class change, being registered for the class is the best way to get in contact with members to let them know. Registration can be done online at ashburnvillage.org.

Please note the Lakes Pool and its parking lot will be closed to the public the following times
due to Aqua Jets practice or meets.
Friday, July 29th - early closing 4pm
Saturday July 30th – late opening 2pm
In addition to the Lakes closing early today and opening late tomorrow, please note that we are hosting All Stars at The Lakes tomorrow and the area will be VERY crowded We are expecting hundreds of swimmers and their families from across our division. Please wish the 34 Aqua Jets Swimmers who made the All Star Squad the best of luck! – GO JETS!
