FACILITIES & GROUNDS

Projects completed this week by the Facilities and Grounds crew include:

Repaired multiple bollards around pavilion lake
Installed new no parking sign on mossy glen
Removed 10 stumps with stump grinder
Trenched 200’ of new wire to repair pole on Florence
Installed pump for pavilion boiler
Installed 8 new twenty foot light poles
Removed large broken branch on bristow private court

Ashburn Lake Meeting

The Save Ashburn Lake team will meet on December 13th at 7:00pm at the Lakes Recreation Center to review the latest plans for the restoration of Ashburn Lake. The team will obtain feedback from residents to provide to the Board of Directors.

Ashburn Lake is set for a large restoration project that will be fully funded by Loudoun County. They will consider comments from the community in planning this project.

Members must have an up to date photo on their account to enter the AVSP. If you enter via the express entry with no photo on file you will be asked to exit and enter through the main lobby entrance. We are working on adding/updating pictures to everyone’s profile, please be patient with us during this process, we appreciate your cooperation.

Donate Your Old Eye Glasses

Help a locally funded and youth run organization, On the Bright Sight On the Bright by dropping off your old prescription eye glasses to the Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion.

FRIDAY SHOUT OUTS

Harry says, "I would like to compliment the yard waste pick-up process on November 14. I had put 20 bags on the curb on Monday morning. They were picked up by 10AM and then later returned to pick up an additional 6 bags as I was continuing to rake that day. I really appreciate the effort on their behalf."

Dave says, "Hello, I want to offer a big "Thanks, you rock!" to the grounds keeping crew who takes care of the common areas. Today I decided it was finally time to take care of all the leaves in my backyard, which borders the common area, so I steeled myself for many hours of work. Much to my surprise, about two thirds of the leaves had been mowed/mulched already, thanks to the grounds keepers who must have purposefully extended their work into my yard to help me out. That saved me at least a few hours today, so thank you so much!"
