FACILITIES & GROUNDS

Projects completed this week by the Facilities and Grounds crew include:

Helped reinstall tower clock behind the pavilion
Put up wreaths and lights for the holidays
Installed 3 new twenty foot light poles
Put 4 pickleball nets back out
Repaired and reinstalled bubble light
Cut down half fallen tree behind broadnax
Removed broken light pole on comus
Installed salt spreader on truck for winter

Ashburn Lake Meeting

The Save Ashburn Lake team will meet on December 13th at 7:00pm at the Lakes Recreation Center to review the latest plans for the restoration of Ashburn Lake. The team will obtain feedback from residents to provide to the Board of Directors.

Ashburn Lake is set for a large restoration project that will be fully funded by Loudoun County. They will consider comments from the community in planning this project.

The Pavilion Clock has Returned

The clock was sent out to be refurbished a few months ago and after recieving it back this week the clock looks brand new. In addition, the clock is now fully functioning and accurate on all 4 sides.

Winter 1 Registration is NOW OPEN For residents, make sure to register before it opens to ORM’s on 12/15- we are expecting this to be our busiest session of the year! Click here to register.

Membership Photo

Members must have an up to date photo on their account to enter the AVSP. If you enter via the express entry with no photo on file you will be asked to exit and enter through the main lobby entrance. We are working on adding/updating pictures to everyone’s profile, please be patient with us during this process, we appreciate your cooperation.

Donate Your Old Eye Glasses

Help a locally funded and youth run organization, On the Bright Sight On the Bright by dropping off your old prescription eye glasses to the Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion.

Angel Tree Gratitude

Thank you to all the residents who participated in this years Salvation Army Angel Tree! We had 45 kids “adopted” this year and so many generous gifts!

Indoor Pool Closure Notice

The Indoor Pool will be closed to the public from Monday December 26th-December 30th for maintenance.

Kidzone Closure Notice

The Kidzone will be closed this Sunday 12/12 for cleaning and maintenance.

Did you know that AVSP has an online member services portal?

In this portal you can reserve racquet courts, register for group exercise classes, update your credit card and more. Click here to log in. When you login you will be asked for your member number. If you don’t know that, you can call the front desk at 703-729-0581 and they can assist you.

Pickleball News

Pickleball is taking off! We are working with the Racquet Sports Committee on adjusting some of the policies around pickleball play in the gym and in the Village in general. As we prioritize a resident first approach and fair use of all amenities, look for changes and policies coming in the New Year.

Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion App

Stay up to date on the latest Ashburn Village news. Click here to download the app. Also, this app can be used to access our amenities instead of using your physical membership pass. Once you download the app, select the check in box then insert your name and put the numbers on your physical pass into the barcode section.
