Agency Showcase: Habitat for Humanity
Our featured agency partner this week is Habitat for Humanity! Our local Habitat works to build new homes for families in need in Logan County. They also have a ReStore, where you can find home improvement resources, furniture, and home decor.

Check out there website here: https://www.habitat.org/.../bellefo.../hfh-logan-county-ohio and the Facebook page for our local ReStore: https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100057211668784
Community Health and Wellness Partners
Center? You maybe thinking, "Ashley, I have no idea what that is, why is it so special?" An FQHC is essentially a one-stop shop for any healthcare needs. Community Health and Wellness Partners has three offices across the county, in Bellefontaine, West Liberty, and Russells Point. Their most utilized service is primary care; CHWP employs both physicians and nurse practitioners to meet your physical health needs. CHWP also has behavioral health providers; if you are interested in counseling or need care from a psychiatrist, they are on staff, too. Pharmacy services and a dietician help round out the onsite services, and they also contract with a local dentist. Maybe this sounds wonderful, but you're worried about being underinsured or you don't have insurance at all. Guess what? It's not a problem. They have a sliding fee scale to help make their services affordable, and are able to help you get insurance if you qualify. Interested in becoming a new patient? Call 937-599-1411. You can even fill out your new patient packet before you go, check it out: https://chwplc.org/.../New-Patient-Packet-fillable-03...

Help in Other Counties
I know I highlight Logan County resources a lot, and that is because I am based in Logan County, and our workplaces are in Logan County. However, I also understand that not everyone at my workplaces live in Logan County. I recently helped someone from outside of Logan County get connected with their Jobs and Family Services, local Community Action, and other resources specific to their county to meet some rent and utility needs. Even if I am not sure about resources in your county during our meeting, I have contacts in our surrounding counties I can brainstorm with to still get your needs met. Please do not be afraid to reach out if you do not live in Logan County! Call/text me at 937-935-9509 or email me at ashley@uwlogan.org and we can meet!
Mental Health: Quiet Your Mind
Try meditating, Mindfulness and/or prayer. Relaxation exercises and prayer can improve your state of mind and outlook on life. In fact, research shows that meditation may help you feel calm and enhance the effects of therapy. Go to a quiet place; that may be a room in your home, or out in nature. Where is that peaceful space for you? Try to take a few minutes today to quiet your mind.
Tax Deadlines Extended
Yesterday is the date that is traditionally Tax Day. Both the federal and state tax deadlines have been pushed back to May 17th, but there is no need to wait to the last minute. If you need to get with a tax pro to get everything filed, start now!! They always get swamped as the deadline draws closer, getting things turned in early will help you to get your refund faster. Or if you want to file yourself for FREE, there is always My Free Taxes. Check it out here: https://www.myfreetaxes.com/
Just a reminder, Ashley is at NEX main campus on Mondays from 11:30 AM-1:30 PM, and Fridays from 2 PM-4 PM. Live United @ Work is open to all NEX employees, including those at MAP, ELP, and Bellefontaine locations.
