The Reading List

"The Reading List" by Sara Nisha Adams is a heartwarming novel that explores the transformative

power of reading and the impact of literature on

individuals' lives. The story follows Mukesh Patel, a widower who, two years after the death of his wife Naina, finds a mysterious reading list in her

belongings. This list, which includes beloved

classics like "Life of Pi" and "Pride and Prejudice,"

helps both Mukesh and Aleisha, a teenager working at a local library, navigate their grief and foster a

unique friendship. The novel is celebrated for its

ability to capture the simple magic of reading and

the joy of creating communities through the act of

storytelling.
