Using the Mobile App for Work on the Go

Hi Tech Terry,

I’ve read recently that RMLS has an app to help us when out working in the field. While I’ve saved a shortcut to the full RMLSweb site on my phone for several years, there are times when it’s obvious that the full site isn’t really formatted to work on the small cell phone screen. What can you tell me about the RMLS app?

Hi WW,

What you’ve heard is accurate! RMLS has worked diligently to provide a revamped app that allows many of the same features as the full RMLSweb site, but is developed to work specifically in the smaller footprint of your cell phone or tablet screen.

First things first…to download the app please go to the App Store or Google Play Store and search for “RMLS Mobile.” Once downloaded, you will need to login with your RMLSweb username and password. If you already downloaded the app, make sure to update to the newest version.

Note that not only can you perform searches based on your current location, but you can also perform searches based on a variety of search criteria. There is also a roster search if you need to find contact info for one of your REALTOR® peers.

A very recent addition to the app is the ability to access your personal listings in the Back Office > Listing Load menu option.

Release Notes: 10/17/22

Release Notes detail the minor system adjustments and bug fixes made to RMLSweb.

The following items were released during the week of October 17.

System Adjustments:

Map Search Criteria

Previous map searches would only allow search of “and” options in the Remarks (Combined) field, meaning that field would need to contain, for example, “ADU and ____” in the comments. 

Now you can also search by using a comma in this field, such as “ADU, _____.” This allows you to search Private Remarks and Public Remarks for separate, specific terms.

Bug Fixes: 

Contact Manager

We have disabled the option to delete a contact in Contact Manager when that contact is associated with an active prospect.

Zip Code Clicks & Boundaries

Zip code 97015 wasn’t clickable on a map when drawing a zip code boundary, and users were unable to select the boundary for zip code 97215. These functions have both been restored.

School Boundary Draw

Certain high school & elementary schools’ boundaries were not selectable when using a boundary draw. This has been fixed.

RMLS Update:

The Return of Friday Open House Hours

Starting this Friday, November 4, we will resume holding Open House hours from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM every Friday at our Portland, Vancouver, Eugene, and Roseburg offices.

Friday Open Houses offer immediate, unscheduled access to one of our Trainers, so if you have questions about using RMLSweb or any of our affiliated tools, subscribers can drop by and pick the brains of our talented staff.
