February's Tip
Make AskAway available on your Library's Homepage
By making AskAway visible and easy to access on your library's homepage, students immediately see that help is available and can connect to chat support from the get-go.

An embedded chat box placed above the fold is ideal as it provides immediate, barrier-free access.

The library's homepage is prime real estate, so if space doesn't allow for a chat box, an eye-catching button at the top of the page or a tab in the bottom right are alternatives. When clicked, a button or a tab should bring the student directly into an AskAway session or to a page with a chat box prominently displayed.

Testing and Support

Take a moment to test new entry points – do they display and work as expected when the service is both online and offline?
