With the return of the Mega-Conference, America's Newspapers will be presenting the Mega-Innovation Award again in 2022! This honor will be awarded at the Mega-Conference to a media company, newspaper or corporate office that best represents innovation in the industry. We encourage you to submit a nomination and share your best innovations!

Three finalists will present their innovations at the Mega-Conference. The conference registration fee will be waived for one representative from each finalist company who makes the presentation.

In addition, the GRAND PRIZE winner will receive $500, a beautiful plaque and recognition by industry peers!

Northeast Arkansas news veteran Gretchen Hunt has been promoted to a new position as regional editor for Paxton Media Group, taking over newsrooms in Jonesboro, Paragould, Newport and Walnut Ridge.

Navarre Press owner and Neves Media acquire Milton, Crestview papers
Two Florida papers — The Santa Rosa Press Gazette in Milton and the Crestview News Bulletin in Crestview — are under new ownership.

Inland Foundation launches Community News Grant program
The Inland Press Foundation is partnering with state press associations to launch a grant program helping newspapers strengthen their local news reporting.

The foundation is launching pilot tests of the grant program in Illinois and Kansas, partnering with the Illinois Press Association and the Kansas Press Association. If successful in those two states, the foundation hopes to expand the grant program to other states.
