Aspire and the City of Greenwood have collaborated to bring the headquarters of one of the top electrical, systems and automation contractors in the country to Johnson County. ERMCO recently received approval of $1.5 million in tax abatement from the Greenwood Common Council. The employee-owned company will invest $18 million to build a facility housing 150 employees relocated from its Indianapolis headquarters and 20 new workers.

A combination of good planning and a positive approach helped Johnson County’s tourism industry fare better during the pandemic in 2020 than many other Hoosier counties. Meanwhile, in Johnson County’s neighbor to the north, Visit Indy is optimistic and gearing up for a good summer.

Thank you to Duke Energy Indiana and its Marketing Partnership Program for awarding Aspire a $5,000 marketing grant. The grant program’s goal is to increase awareness of economic development strategies, marketing campaigns and special events in Duke’s service area. Aspire will use the grant to host a virtual familiarization tour of Johnson County communities and available industrial and commercial sites for real estate brokers, developers, and site selectors.
