Aspire Women Leaders Workshop Award Nominations Close February 23


Aspire's annual Women Leaders Conference will be held on March 8 at Valle Vista Golf and Conference Center. Angie Nuttle, Founder of the VIP Center for Business Women, will deliver the keynote speech.  

 

Nominations for the annual Women Leaders awards are open. The  Champion of Women Award recognizes an organization that prioritized women in leadership and provided women with opportunities for growth, both inside and outside their workforces. The  Woman Leader of the Year Award  recognizes a woman who has made a significant contribution to her company or organization as an influencer, leader, and ally. Finalists in both categories will be announced prior to the event and the winners revealed at the Woman Leaders Workshop.

In 2024, a report from Intelligent.com shows that 45% of companies plan to remove bachelor's degree requirements for certain positions. Specifically, this applies to entry and mid-level roles. The shift is attributed to challenges in accessing higher education for many in the workforce, prompting a greater focus on work experience and alternative education programs.

Deadline Approaching for Private Nonprofit Organizations in Indiana to Apply for Economic Injury Disaster Loans


The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is reminding eligible nonprofit organizations in Indiana to apply for federal economic injury disaster loans, following severe storms in spring of 2023. The SBA determines eligibility based on the applicant's size, type of activity, and financial condition. Applicants can apply online or contact SBA's Customer Service Center for more information before the March 1, 2024, deadline.
