Carli Winter Named Aspirus Hero

Please join us in congratulating Carli Winter, DPT at Aspirus Medford Therapy & Fitness, on being named an Aspirus Hero!

A special thank you to our grateful patient who made a gift in her honor and shared, “Dr. Winter provided me with exceptional care as my physical therapist. Her hard work ethic is evident in her application of her extensive expertise. Chronic physical pain is debilitating. Dr. Winter not only treated my physical ailments, she offered compassion and hope. I will always be thankful to her for helping give back my life.”

Our Coffee Literacy Says Thanks to Aspirus Medford

Students at Medford Area Senior High (MASH) are reaching out to thank those in the community who give of themselves.

The Our Coffee Literacy program offers a CARES Cup of Coffee with Compassion Note to say thank you to those who give throughout the community.

Our MASH Special Friends have delivered over 1,500 coffee coupons in the last two years.

This effort is made possible by MASH Special Students Service Learning Project, Medford Schools Our Special Family, MASH Raider Cafe, Kwik Trip, McDonalds, and Taylor County Literacy Council.

Aspirus Medford through its Community Health Improvement Fund was a sponsor of the original program. Last week, we were recipients of the coffee coupons as a thank you for the support provided to the community.

Suicide Awareness Memory Quilt

In Loving Memory Display at the Walk Together for Suicide Awareness

September 14 at 5:30 p.m. in Medford City Park

The Taylor County Mental Health Council would like to propose an idea to our friends and families who have lost a loved one to suicide or other mental health disorder in the past. We would like to make and dedicate a quilt in memory of them.

We are asking for your assistance to help us gather some t-shirts or even a photo of them. The t-shirts could be from their favorite activity, brand, logo, etc., or a photo of them doing their favorite activities (kayaking, horseback riding, racing cars, etc.). We would like to keep and display this quilt in memory of our loved ones every September during our Suicide Awareness Night.

If you would like to memorialize your family member or friend, please drop off the t-shirt or photo at the Medford Area School District Office. Photos will be returned (put your name and return address on the back of the photo), but t-shirts will be used in the quilt.

**When dropping off your items, please include a note with the shirt or photo**

     1. Include the NAME of the person(s) to be remembered.

     2. Their date of birth and date of death.

     3. Short statement or quote you would like to have added on the quilt block if there is room.

All photos and t-shirts must be dropped off no later than June 9. If you have any questions regarding this project, please contact OraLee Dittrich at 715-965-4998.
