Ashley Midthun, Nursing-Triage, Aspirus Doctors Clinic

Thank you, Ashley, for thorough follow-up to ensure our patient received the appropriate care. Your communication involving the patient's family, care team members, and our local mobile health paramedic provided exactly what this patient needed. Thank you!

What Our Patients are Saying

Some Comments from Recent NRC Patient Satisfaction Surveys

Because We Love

Megan Breu, APNP, Aspirus Plover Clinic-Plover Road

Megan Breu is a fantastic provider. I was very satisfied with my treatment. Great listener. Asked caring questions. Explained my labs. Checked my records for tests or procedures that my insurance would cover. Offered to do a referral if I wanted one now or in the future. Was friendly and compassionate. Megan and Nikki were both wonderful!

Dr. Jenna Kolodziej, OB/GYN, Aspirus Riverview Clinic-Wisconsin Rapids & Aspirus Plover Clinic-Vern Holmes Drive

The doctor respected my decision for how I wanted her to go about a major operation I needed. That, to me, shows a great deal of compassion. She definitely has the best interests of her patients at heart. Dr. Kolodziej also listens to each and every question asked and responds thoroughly. Dr. Kolodziej is very personable, highly knowledgeable, and displays a sense of understanding and caring. She doesn't rush the appointments. She also explains everything in simple terms. I'm extremely comfortable around her and really trust her with my gynecology needs. Highly recommend.

Dr. Katharina Hahn, Family Medicine, Aspirus Plover Clinic-Vern Holmes Drive

Dr. Hahn is the best. THE BEST! We discussed my concerns and had a good check-up for everything else. Dr. Hahn is consistently my favorite physician of all time.

Dr. Whitney Sinclair & Emergency Team, Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital

Everyone from check-in to check-out was kind, compassionate, upbeat, and took their time with me. Amazing how horrible I felt when I arrived and how much better I felt when I walked out. They made a world of difference to me.

Dr. Elizabeth Wilson-Ward, Aspirus Doctors Clinic Walk-In

The nurse assistant was very prompt and took my vitals and prepared me to see the doctor. The total experience was handled very professionally. Doctor examined me and made recommendations if it did not get better. Legendary service!!

Patient Safety Tip

Small Appliances

What? Small appliances purchased or brought into our facilities by staff other than Facilities Management need to be approved for use before using within your department.

Why? Appliances need to be reviewed to ensure they meet Life Safety code requirements for fire prevention/safety. Also, some appliances can pose an infection control risk when used in certain areas.

Call to Action: Request Facilities to review all appliances, such as toasters, microwaves, coffee makers, refrigerators, electric kettles, etc., before using within your department or break rooms.

Tracy Harris Honored for Good Catch

Congratulations to Tracy Harris, Histotechnologist in Pathology and the winner of our Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital Good Catch Award.

Tracy caught that a surgical specimen was sent to Pathology unlabeled. She contacted the nurse to assist with identifying the patient. They were able to label the specimen as there was only one patient scheduled for a procedure that day.

Great catch, Tracy!

The Good Catch Award is based upon a commitment to High-Reliability Principles for Safety to bring awareness to situations when an employee's or physician's actions prevented harm to those we care for.
