Because we love, we lead.

Every day, we show compassion for our patients, their loved ones, and one another. Below are a few recent examples from our intranet's Recognition Wall. To recognize a co-worker or view more staff recognitions, click here.

Tina Suzda, Medical Reception, Aspirus Doctors Clinic

Tina ~Thank you for offering to drive to Aspirus Clinic-Marshfield today to help with staffing shortages! You are such an awesome example of a great team player! We love having you come visit and work on our campus.

Tammy Stanislawski, Med/Surg, Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital

You were recognized by one of the patients today during leader rounding. She said you were very nice, and you provided excellent care! So happy you are a part of the Med/Surg team!

Renee Chatman, Med/Surg, Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital

Renee ~ I can't express my appreciation enough for all that you have accomplished on our Med/Surg unit. Your ability to lead your team, create an outstanding culture, and successfully recruit new staff when no one else can is remarkable! Thank you so much for caring for our patients, staff and teams!

Alexandrea Blazel, Nursing Administration, Aspirus Stevens Point Hospital

Alex ~ I want you to know how much we appreciate your approach to managing as house supervisor. Dr. Daniels and team in the ED were so very impressed and thankful for you helping care for and manage boarded patients in our ED. Way to lead by example!

Kristine Mejia, Administration, Aspirus Riverview Hospital

When Kristine escorted a patient to her car, she noticed the car windows were covered with snow. She got her snowbrush and cleared the windows so the patient and her driver had a safe drive home. Kristine went above and beyond to care for the patient's needs inside and outside of the hospital!

Ashley Mortel, Nursing, Aspirus Riverview Clinic-Wisconsin Rapids

Thank you so much for going up to the Plover clinic to help in OB due to the higher number of patients they were seeing. I appreciate your help and flexibility!!! Thank you!!

Safety Tip

Shipping Containers

Tips

What: Items received from outside of the organization and transported to department storage areas within the facility should be removed from their external shipping containers before the items are placed in the storage areas of the department. (Any instructions for use that accompany the items should be kept with the items.) For example: If you get supplies of any kind inside a corrugated cardboard shipping box, the supplies should be removed from the corrugated cardboard shipping box before placing in your storage area. The shipping box should be properly recycled according to your business unit's recycling process.

Why: Shipping containers, especially those made of a corrugated material, serve as generators of and reservoirs for dust. Corrugated cardboard boxes are susceptible to moisture, water, vermin and bacteria during warehouse or storeroom storage, as well as in transportation environments. Boxes and containers may have been exposed to unknown and potentially high microbial contamination.
