In collaboration with the Department of Public Instruction, SEEC and NESC are excited to introduce multiple High-impact Tutor and Paraeducator Training opportunities.


Participants will receive FREE access to all The Master Teacher courses for one year with their registration of the virtual course.

Within the course, they'll cover four modules in an asynchronous fashion online and then have to virtual Check-Ins with SEEC Professional Learning Specialist Danette Brown. These connections will provide time for collaboration with others to:
  1. Synthesize their learning
  2. Ask Questions
  3. Provide insight into their work
  4. Practice their new learning and skills in a safe and inclusive setting.

Active Recess Training Asynchronous Course
This FREE online course consists of 10 modules (8 hours) of learning that includes how to get started and sharing the importance of recess along with the $ss Philosophy and Appropriate/Inappropriate practices. Then they dive into committees and supporting CDC/SHAPE America resources, safety, and direct/indirect strategies. Finally, they look at indoor recess options, behavior management, and other Comprehensive School Physical Acitivyt program strategies.

Assisting the Teacher - Coming again in January 2023 and August 2023
The virtual, six-hour workshop is for paraeducators/tutors and their supervisors. Participants will learn how to be a part of the school team, supervise common areas and independent work periods, and work with small groups or individuals while building relationships with students through increasing their positive interactions, teaching expectations for behaviors, and correcting misbehavior effectively.
