The 2024-2025 school year semester one final assessments are scheduled for Tuesday, December 17, through Friday, December 20. Assessments are administered by academic discipline as outlined below.
Traditional final assessments: Teachers will provide room assignments to their students for traditional final assessments.
Project-based final assessment: At the discretion of the teacher, students do not attend school during this academic discipline time-block.
Not taking a class in a specific academic discipline: Students who do not have a class in an academic discipline do not attend school during that time-block. Example: Students who are not taking a World Language class should make arrangements to leave campus immediately following their Mathematics assessment.
Taking more than one class in a specific academic discipline: Students who are taking more than one class in any academic discipline are assigned an alternate location to take all their assessments on the scheduled day. Students should prepare to stay longer than the 10:40 a.m. dismissal to allow adequate time to complete multiple assessments. Example: Students taking two math courses and one World Language course will take all three traditional assessments on Wednesday, December 18, from 8:00 a.m.-noon. Short breaks included.
Car-pools: The Student Union is open for students waiting for their rides.
Dress Code: Assessment days are “Dress Down” days. Please follow guidelines for the regular “Outta Uniform” days. Remember the purpose of the day is academics.
Student-Parent Portal: Access to grades and grade details in the mySFHS student-parent portal are deactivated beginning with the first exam on Tuesday, December 17, and reactivated at 8:00 a.m. on January 9, 2025. First semester report cards and transcripts are available for viewing during the week of January 13, 2025. Note: Students can still see their assignments in mySFHS.
