This presentation on Asset Protection Planning for the Elderly provides attorneys with essential strategies to safeguard clients' assets from potential and existing risks. The elderly face many different risks: they need to protect their assets from the children of the second spouse, from possible lawsuits by the caretaker, from car accidents, and from unscrupulous salespeople. You will learn various strategies and techniques to protect assets, including domestic and offshore trusts with trust protectors, the use of legal entities, equity stripping, protection through retirement plans, and other strategies. The program will cover both proactive measures and crisis planning, addressing common scenarios and pitfalls. The speaker has been practicing and teaching asset protection for over 20 years and the presentation will be very practical and solution driven.
