Good Afternoon Heartland Community Bankers!

The fall season has arrived, so once again we have some change. Sometimes change is good, sometimes it’s hard to deal with and sometimes it’s somewhere in between. In this version of the newsletter, you will see my new headshot. This, unfortunately, was another necessary change.

We have again adapted to the change in the financial markets this year to achieve our goals through the first three quarters of this year. Let’s finish strong to make this year one for the record books! Congratulations on executing our plan to achieve all this success thus far. 

To achieve what we did over the last couple of months, it took a team effort. That’s why I want to give a special shout-out and dedicate this newsletter intro to our internal/noncustomer facing associates. Many companies are hungry to achieve success, but not all companies want to put in the work and investment to do so. There are so many initiatives that are currently happening “behind the scenes” - literally too many to mention. 

Let’s keep challenging our processes as we strive to provide superior service to our clients and create further efficiency. Thank you for your hard work and achievement. Please take a moment in the upcoming weeks to thank a fellow associate that makes your work life better.

Who can submit this form? Department managers only. For branches, your DM must be the one to submit this request.

What can you request? Anything from flyers, advertisements, event supplies and more.

What do I need to provide the marketing team when submitting a request? Please see the document here for all the details we require before we begin working on a project.

What is PolicyTech? PolicyTech is a system that centralizes bank policies, and now it will centralize procedures too. It is a tool for you! All department managers are creating procedures in there. Once published, associates will refer only to procedures hosted in PolicyTech. These will be current versions considered official record.

Is my department manager done publishing all our department’s procedures? Procedures are being added in chunks. Some departments are done, and some recently started. Speak with your manager to learn what is in or about to go in.

How do I get to PolicyTech? On the HEARTbeat homepage, scroll down to the Information Quick Links section. Click the PolicyTech icon to launch the system.

Where can I go to learn more? Visit the project site to find short how-to videos such as “How to Get Around PolicyTech”. The project site has job aids, a training slide deck, and much more.
