NOTES FROM THE ASSUMPTION ACCOUNTING OFFICE...
INTERNAL CHURCH CREDIT CARD PROCESSING WILL END NEXT MONTH
Do you have your 2021 recurring credit card payment processing set up in the GOCA accounting office? If so, please be advised all internal credit card processing will end in December 2021. For 2022, if you wish to have recurring credit card payment processing for your Stewardship pledge payment, periodic donations, etc., you will need to navigate to our VANCO payment platform (https://secure.myvanco.com/L-YW7C), look for the "Sign Up" link in the upper right hand corner of your screen, follow the prompts to set up an account, then set up your recurring payment using either a credit card or directly from your bank account. If you do not have a computer, smart phone, etc., and would like assistance with this, please call Jillian in the parish office and she will assist you in getting this set up. The parish office is now open Monday through Friday, 12:30 pm - 6:30 pm.
IF YOU ARE WRITING A CHECK TO THE CHURCH...
After a recent review of our account, Peoples Bank has made a stipulation that checks written payable to anything other than our legal business name (Greek Orthodox Church of the Assumption) will need to be deposited by physically going to the bank. If your check is made payable to the Greek Orthodox Church of the Assumption, we can use Peoples Remote Deposit Capture system where we run the check through a machine and the deposit occurs immediately. For example, if you send us a check made payable to “The Assumption Church” or "Church of the Assumption", our accountant will have to prepare a deposit slip, have the deposit driven to the bank, walk inside, make the deposit, then return to the office. If you send us a check made payable to “Greek Orthodox Church of the Assumption”, using the RDC system, the accountant will send the check through a little machine on her desk and the deposit will occur within moments. Please help us keep expenses down by making this simple change. We appreciate your help with this!
CLARA'S HYGIENE BAGS
It is so exciting to be able to continue the tradition that Clara Nicon and the Philoptochos started so many years ago!

We have a good start on some of the items and would like to focus our request on: winter socks, protein bars (no nuts), sugar free hot chocolate, bottled water and tampons. The collection box for donations can be found in our Fellowship Hall, across from the book store.

The last day for collection to be included in this year’s bags is November 30th. Please contact me if you prefer to purchase something online and have it shipped.
Thank you all for your support of this wonderful project! Now let's make Clara proud and fill 200+ bags!!
