Our Community Newsletter for Assumption Families, Students, Faculty, Alumni & Friends
September 8, 2019
Dear Assumption Family,
Today we celebrate the Nativity of Mary, the birthday of the Blessed Mother and the patron of Assumption Catholic School. I am reminded of just how important and yet underappreciated mothers are. We count on them to provide and care for us and often take it for granted that they will always be there when we need them. What do they get in return? I know moms will say they don't need anything and they do it out of pure love, just like Mary did for Jesus. As our mothers model their undying love for their children after Mary's devotion to Jesus we must show our love and appreciation as Jesus taught us.
My request to our students is that in addition to Mother's Day and birthdays, we add September 8 to the short list of days to show our special appreciation for their mothers. If your mother is anything like mine- a simple note, a call, or spending a little extra time is all it will take to demonstrate your love and appreciation.
Happy birthday to the Blessed Virgin Mary and happy Nativity of Mary to all mothers in the Assumption Community.
*Please Note- All 2019/20 Tuition Payments should have begun on your designated date selected through FACTS and go through April or June depending on how it was set up if on a monthly payment schedule.
If you have not set up your FACTS account to date, you need to do so immediately or this could jeopardize your spot at Assumption.
Can't make it? We will have a fellow alumnus paint a tile for you!
Attention all Volunteers- to participate as a volunteer when our students are in attendance, at school building events or on field trips, you need to have completed the Diocese of Bridgeport Virtus Training.
