Orthodox Christian Catechism Class
from Fr. Dean
Greetings Assumption Parish Family,

I would like to take this opportunity to invite all our parishioners to this year's Orthodox Christian Catechism Class. All parishioners, eighteen years old and older, are invited to participate. This class is for all Orthodox Christians and those wishing to become Orthodox. If you are already an Orthodox Christian, this is an excellent opportunity to enhance your understanding of your faith.

The class will be taught, on-line via Zoom, every Thursday evening from 7-8 p.m.

Please click here for the class syllabus document. You may also find the syllabus on our 360 Unite page (click here).

If you would like to attend, please indicate your intent to do so via e-mail to by Wednesday, September 30th.

Please e-mail or call the office with any questions at 206-323-8557.

Looking forward to walking this journey of spiritual growth with you!

My love, thoughts and prayers walk with you and your families always.

In Christ's Service,

Interested in Ushering?

All parishioners are welcome to help usher during Sunday liturgy or other large services such as Feast Days. There will always be a Parish Council member present to explain the duties involved such as managing the candles, passing the stewardship trays, and ushering for Holy Communion.

If you are interested in offering your services as an usher, please call the church office and give your name to Jillian. She will call you when there is a need for extra ushers. 206-323-8557
Serving in the Altar

All boys eight years and older are welcome to come serve in the altar on Sundays. Please be sure to arrive at the start of liturgy. If your son is younger than eight and interested in serving, they are welcome during any weekday service as long as a parent is present.
