Leader in Me/PBIS Updates:
This is the time of year that we start to see an uptick with behavior. We are reminding students to be safe, respectful, and responsible, but unstructed settings like recess, lunch, and the bus are tough. Some students are having trouble keeping their hands to themselves, but we continue to work through this.
Habit of the month - Begin with end in mind! Teach your children to start with what they want to accomplish and work backward to plan the steps and path to get there.

Choosing Safe Usernames
Usernames are like digital nametags—they represent a child each time they log in to a game, app, or website. While it may be tempting to use real names, birth years, or favorite sports teams, these details can give away too much personal information. A safe username should protect privacy and avoid making a child an easy target for unwanted attention. Instead, kids can use fun combinations of animals, colors, or made-up words that don’t reveal anything personal. Families can make this activity fun by brainstorming silly but safe usernames together, like “PurpleDragon77” or “SoccerBananaStar.” Parents can also check their child’s current usernames and help update them if needed.
Action step: Review your child’s usernames across platforms this week and work together to create at least one new, safe username that protects their privacy while still letting their personality shine.
