Week of September 29, 2025

It is Spirit week this week in preparation for Sun Valley's Homecoming festivities! (See above)

We hope everyone had a great weekend! October starts this week! How did that happen? We are certainly in a groove and working hard!

Busing Update:

Thank you for getting your students to the bus stops 5 minutes earlier each morning. The busses are arriving on time now, allowing us to get everyone into the gym, through the breakfast line, and to class in a timely manner!

Leader in Me/PBIS Updates:

Students are practicing their planning skills and being proactive in all they do!

We are creating our Aston story and there is a mural in the works illustrating this! By the time the mural is complete, every student will have painted a part of it! We cannot wait for you to see it!

Tech-Free Dinner: Why It Matters

Mealtimes are one of the few daily chances for families to connect without distractions. Making dinner a tech-free zone allows for conversation, laughter, and storytelling. Phones and tablets can wait, but relationships can’t. Families can create a simple ritual, like placing all devices in a basket before sitting down to eat. Even if you can’t manage every night, start with one or two meals a week. Over time, this habit strengthens bonds. Action step: Choose one meal this week to be 100% tech-free. Ask everyone to share a high point and low point from their day.
