Ms. Susan Phillips, Principal

Week of November 24 2024

We made it to Thanksgiving! We are all very thankful for the opportunity to work with your children each day! Thank you for sharing them with us! We hope all of our families have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

The book fair is almost over! There are 2 more days to shop plus a shoping night from 5:00 PM - 7:30 PM for parents and students on Tuesday, Nov 26.

Conferences are here - We are looking forward to meeting with you to review your children's progress in school! There are only 3 days of school this week and all 3 are 11:15 AM dismissal days. No lunch or breakfast will be served this week.

Pajamas - more and more studens are wearing pajamas to school on a regular basis. We are asking that the students get dressed for school each day and save the pajamas for our special Pajama days. Grade 4 earned a pajama day tomorrow (Monday).

Poetry Contest for November - Mrs. Robb sponsored another poetry contest - congratulations to everyone who participated! Below are the winners!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is here

Family members sitting around eating

All celebrating everywhere

Pumpkins, turkey, squirrels

Leaves turning yellow, orange and brown.

A large breeze comes.

Being happy playing with a friend.

On Thanksgiving day is all about family!

Lots of flowers in different colors.

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.

I Love Fall!

Fall is the time of year for fun.

Games and laughterful cheers.

It's not too hot and it’s not too cold.

Fall truly is the best time of all.

Leaves are falling and trees are dying.

It still doesn’t get too cold for me.

But when the time finally comes it’s winter time,

But the snow is cold!

Christmas Morning

Bright lights chiming on the tree

Leaves dancing in the frosty air

Presents wrapped under the tree

The unbearable excitement to open them

All the crinkling Christmas wrapping paper while opening them.

Warm smell of eggs and bacon on the stove

Your stomach grumbling of hunger

Then you smell the leftover cookie bites Santa didn’t eat

The fresh smell of the christmas tree

While ornaments are swinging and clacking together.

The Holiday Season Thank you! We were able to raise over $400 for families in need selling turkey feathers plus we received some gift card donations from parents! We will be halping 6 families with Thanksgiving this year.
