Join Us for Bingo Saturday, May 9
Ivymount Outreach is excited to offer online events on Saturdays in May to connect and provide fun activities for students and families. Activities will be similar to those provided at our Saturday Camp LOL and Afterschool Clubs and will feature our amazing staff! Each week in our newsletter, we will provide information on the upcoming event.
Coming up this Saturday, May 9, we will be hosting live Virtual Bingo at 10 am. The caller will be Ms. Lmya, Outreach Recreational Program Coordinator. All are invited to join!

If multiple family members want to play, please submit an RSVP for each person. RSVPs will be accepted until noon on Friday, May 8. On Friday afternoon, each player will be emailed one bingo board, a Zoom meeting link, and directions on how to play the game. We are so excited to see you all and play together again!
Be sure to check back next week to find out the activity scheduled for Saturday, May 16!
Be a Weather Reporter
Spring weather is upon us and can change drastically from day to day. The Ivymount Speech Department suggests using a chart to track the weather and then talking about it. Discussions can include using weather-specific vocabulary, predicting the next day’s weather, or comparing and contrasting today’s weather to the day before or to another place. It is also fun to come up with a weather report and make a video being a weatherperson!  Click here for a printable weather chart, report template, and weather vocabulary words.
Make Your Own Puffy Paint
Follow the recipe below to make your own puffy paint at home.

Puffy Paint Recipe:
½ cup flour
½ cup salt
½ cup warm water
Assorted food coloring
Containers for colors

Combine first 3 ingredients and stir. Divide into batches/containers and use assorted drops of food coloring to make separate colors. You can use it with your fingers, a brush or squirt bottle and then let it dry. To see the paint puff more quickly, paint your picture and then put the paper in the microwave for 30 seconds and let it dry.
