As higher rates of respiratory illness continue to affect our communities, Montgomery County is pleased to make COVID-19 at-home test kits available for community organizations serving residents at higher risk for COVID and severe illness. You are receiving this email as a community partner that supports equitable access to at-home tests and the distribution of test kits among your staff and constituents.
Request Tests
Please use this link to request tests. Tests are packaged 300 to a case. Please request in increments of 300 where possible.
About the At-Home Tests
Tests are recommended for use when a person is feeling sick and needs to know if they have COVID-19. Additional information about at-home tests can be found here. Tests available through the County are Acon FlowFlex, single test to a box, with an expiration date currently listed as February 2023. Please note that expiration dates for at-home antigen tests are sometimes extended. Extended expiration dates are determined by the lot number of the test, and can be found by reviewing FDA’s website.
Picking up Tests
Tests will be available for pick-up from the County’s warehouse in Fort Washington on the following Tuesdays between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM:
- January 10
- January 19
- January 24
Please note: You will receive a confirmation email including (1) the amount of tests available for pick up, and (2) a link to complete a form telling us when your organization can pick up the tests, and (3) address for the County’s warehouse. Please be sure that your vehicle has adequate space to transport requested volume of tests.
Requested feedback
Once tests have been distributed, we ask that you share back the following information so that we can understand how the test supplies were used. For now, we ask that you keep track of the following information and be able to share upon request.
1. Total number of tests distributed to staff
2. Total number of tests distributed to clients/patients/participants/visitors
