At Home With Wilton Library
June 8, 2020
Gov. Lamont has announced June 20 as the start of reopening libraries in CT. Wilton Library is working with the Town of Wilton to comply with State directives and local guidelines. We hope to open our drive-thru window on June 22 while maintaining our robust digital and virtual offerings.  We are looking forward to once again serving our patrons via the drive-thru window, located on Godfrey Place. Please watch for further announcements, including when you can start bringing your items back.
At present, the Wilton Library building remains closed as does our returns bin. All items have been automatically renewed and no late fees will be accruing.
Fan Day Monday
What makes someone a fan of something? That answer can be as personal as your DNA. A fan is someone who has intense, occasionally overwhelming, enthusiasm for a sporting club, person, book, movie, trend, or other. Sometimes we are fans for a short time, others enjoy lifelong devotions. Whatever your level or object of fandom, we hope you'll be a fan of the resources, programs and information below.
You've Watched the Series -- Now Read All About It
Let's face it -- we've all watched way too much TV these past few weeks. It may not have been of the best caliber, but it was often the most fun. So if you've become a fan of The Tiger King, the true crime Nettlix miniseries about the life of zookeeper Joe Exotic, or The Great, the Hulu satirical, comedic drama about Catherine the Great, peruse these eBooks and eAudiobooks below for some more factual selections. They may be downloaded in the Libby by OverDrive app or viewed online on our OverDrive page.

Selections for Celebrity Fans
Celebrities, with their larger-than-life existences, often have great stories to tell. So it makes sense that many have written books, sharing everything from family recipes to relationship histories. Books by celebrity authors often make for fun and insightful reads. Here a few of the best. They may be downloaded in the Libby by OverDrive app or viewed online on our OverDrive page.
For the Sports Fan -- Saluting our Spring 2020 Wilton Warrior Athletes
A lot was lost or cut short this spring, including the sporting season for all the 2020 graduating Wilton Warrior spring athletes. No games on the field, courts or track, and no last senior night to celebrate and commemorate the athletes' four years of commitment, hard work and excellence. Congratulations to all these graduating athletes of 2020! You have provided Wilton with lots to be proud of and cheer about these past four years. A virtual celebration was held this past week to celebrate the graduating spring athletes. Watch the YouTube video here.
