Post-Election Distractions
Whatever your politics, we all probably need to take a deep breath in. Now exhale slowly through your nose and check out the opportunities for post-election distractions listed below. We have some atmospheric graphic novels to cure any mood. Looking for some outstanding new reads? Check out the 2020 finalists for The Kirkus Prize. We've also got book selections and a panel discussion in honor of National Alzheimer's Awareness Month, calligraphy, cooking, and the final Wilton Reads 2020 programs. Calligraphy for Beginners: An Introduction to the Italian Hand

National Alzheimer's Awareness Month Online Panel Discussion

Read a 2020 Kirkus Prize Finalist
The Kirkus Prize, one of the richest literary awards in the world, annually bestows $50,000 to authors of fiction, nonfiction and young readers' literature. The 2020 Kirkus Prize winners will be announced on November 5. Check out some 2020 finalists here -- this eclectic group makes a perfect reading list for the next few months.
 
The Cookbook Connection: A Virtual Recipe Swap on Zoom

You may browse and borrow new books, Quick Pick selections, book group books, large print books, audiobooks, music CDs, DVDs and puzzles. The Children’s Library, Teen Services and adult internet computers also will be available by appointment during these times.
