Dogs get a bad rap from 'the dog days of summer.' The phrase actually comes from ancient beliefs about the star Sirius rising. Greek and Roman astrology connected this period with drought, sudden thunderstorms, lethargy, fever, and bad luck. We know better about our dogs -- they give and elicit unconditional love. If you love dogs, check out these eBooks for Dog Lovers. They may be downloaded in the Libby by OverDrive app or viewed online on our OverDrive page .
