Support local growers + food producers!
We know it's just Monday, but we're really looking forward to another beautiful day at Market this Friday! We all truly appreciate everyone who has come out (in masks!) to support the market for the past two weeks in our new location. Read a little more about it all in this local news article .

A note for those who are new to shopping the KSQ Farmers Market: As you peruse the fresh produce, know that everything you find is grown locally by the farmers who bring it to market. So you'll only find what's in season—and at the moment this includes beautiful lettuces & greens, asparagus, rhubarb, root vegetables, and some other special spring crops like green garlic & scallions. (Strawberries aren't quite ready yet on our farms, but they will be soon!) Also, meats & poultry are typically sold frozen unless the farms have just had animals processed. Currently, most meats must be preordered, so see specific farm info below.

Also, the vendor lineup changes a bit week to week, with some producers participating bi-weekly or once a month. Keep reading for the full vendor lineup this week, along with all preorder options & deadlines.
Hours
  • 3–3:30pm is reserved for seniors & high-risk customers to shop more safely.
  • 3:30–6pm is for all customers.

Location & Parking
Find us in the parking lot of The Creamery of Kennett Square @ 401 Birch St! The Creamery remains closed for now, but we so are grateful they could provide this space for us to practice social distancing while supporting local farms & producers.

FREE PARKING is available at 226 East Birch St ( a large parking lot across the street from Braeloch Brewing.) We highly encourage you to use this lot versus the street to be respectful to residents on Birch.

Safe Shopping Guidelines
Farmers markets are considered essential and life-sustaining by the state of PA as we continue providing fresh food direct from local farms & producers to the community.

Here are our market shopping guidelines:
Additionally, we ask that you:

  • Be patient. We will limit the number of customers shopping at once, so if there is a line, we greatly appreciate patience waiting to enter.

  • Do not linger in the shopping area. As much as we'd all love to hang out and talk on a normal day, we ask that you move through the shopping area quickly.

  • Let vendors serve you! You will only be able to handle the product you have purchased. For purchases on-site, you will order from the vendor's "menu" or by pointing to product beyond your reach. They will collect your items & calculate your total. Make the exact payment (cash, check, contact-free card where available.) Your items will be pre-bagged then placed on the front table for you to grab & go.

  • Clean, reusable bags are OK to help you carry the pre-bagged load from various vendors. But vendors will not pack product in your reusable bags for you!

  • Of course, stay home if you have any signs of illness.

Thank you for doing your part to help us make this work!
