Governor Phil Murphy introduced Brian Bridges, the United Negro College Fund’s vice president of research and member engagement, as his nominee to be New Jersey’s new secretary of higher education during an event Friday morning at the Rutgers Visitor Center in Piscataway. Dr. Bridges earned his Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Higher Education Administration from Indiana University–Bloomington. He previously was vice provost for diversity, access and equity at Ohio University.
