Math Textbook Return

If you still have a copy of the hardbound math books that were distributed earlier this year, please return these to your child’s homeroom teacher. We bound these to be re-used each year, so please take a moment to ensure you still not have a copy. If you are a Distance Learning family, you may return these to the front office. Thank you for your support!

Distance Learners Health Screening

All 3rd and 5th grade Distance Learners, as well as scholars who are new to ATE, need to complete a 5 minute hearing and vision screening as part of our academy. Rather than asking students back at a separate time, when your child completes their AZ Merit test, they will be taken to the Nurse to have this done. If you have any questions, please reach out to Carrie Nielson at cnielson@archwaytriviumeast.org.

PSO Water Drive to support St. Mary's Food Bank - March 26-April 1

The PSO will be collecting bottled water to benefit St. Mary’s Food Bank March 26-April 1. Donations will be collected in the drop off line. We need volunteers to help with collections. Please sign up below!

PSO Family "Great HeART Hunt" - Saturday, March 27

Join us for a fun and socially-distanced Spring event. On Saturday, March 27, we encourage you to put on your Athenian spirit wear (or wear school colors) and head out to find the Goodyear heARTs. Visit one heart, or ALL ten, it's up to you; but be sure to snap a picture and share your experience with us! Upload your photo here to share with the school or email Tracie Petro at archwayeastpso@gmail.com with any questions.

We will also have volunteers set up in the west parking lot at ATE from 8:30-11:30 am to collect water donations to support our Spring Water Drive. We hope to see you then!

Athenian Field Day is coming April 1!

As we move forward with our last quarter of the school year we approach a wonderful community event--Athenian Field Day! The event will take place on the half day, Thursday, April  1. This is a day where classes will compete against or with each other to test their strength, skill, and also to have plenty of fun. All activities will follow our current on-campus health and safety guidelines for social distancing. We look forward to celebrating together in the Athenian tradition on this day.

We are looking for snack donations and volunteers* to help make the day a great success. Please check out the sign-ups below (*Volunteers MUST have Raptor clearance).

Before the big day there are a few suggestions and expectations that need to be addressed to ensure that we are able to maintain our order and excellence on this action-packed half-day;

Field Day dress-code and expectations. Please read thoroughly.

  1. Scholars will be outside for an extended period of time, so please apply sunblock before school to make sure the day can run smoothly and efficiently.
  2. They will be active most of the day so please ensure that your scholar(s) have a personal water bottle with them that day.
  3. As far as dress code, we will follow the guidelines as laid out in the parent handbook. A copy is below for your convenience.

Athletic Practice and Outdoor Field Day Dress Code

Just as Archway provides guidelines for dress code in the classroom, it is important to project the image of professionalism in our athletic attire as well.
All shirts worn for athletic practices and field day should be modest, loose fitting, in good repair (no holes, torn sleeves, etc.), should be worn either tucked in or well over the waist of the pants/shorts if not tucked in. No midriffs may be shown. T‐shirts are preferred—no tank tops, camisoles, or sports bras may be worn as outer garments. Sleeveless shirts may be worn if modest.
Shorts should be modest, in good repair (no holes, torn sleeves, etc.) Shorts should be worn at the waist and should be no shorter than mid‐thigh and no‐longer than just below the knee. No short‐shorts or long baggy shorts may be worn. No boxers or undergarments may be visible.
Attire should be free of logos and messages, with the following exceptions: sports team logos (e.g., Diamondbacks, Notre Dame), and apparel brand names (e.g., Adidas, Abercrombie) are acceptable, provided they do not make inappropriate allusions (as do some skateboarding/ snowboarding brands). These guidelines also apply to sweatshirts and jackets that students may wear. Footwear should be athletic in nature: no sandals, open‐toed, or platform shoes. Hats and sunscreen may be appropriate, if the students will be in the sun. Hat styles should follow the same guidelines as above.

Trivium Spirit Day - Half Day Thursday, April 1

Our next Trivium-wide Spirit Day is the half-day Thursday, April 1! For Trivium Spirit day, ATE students are encouraged to wear one of the following: Athenian Spirit Wear, a Class t-shirt, an Athenians Sports t-shirt, a Run the Virtues 5K t-shirt or a Trivium Prep spirit wear shirt. This is optional and a uniform shirt may always be worn. All other uniform components should be worn according to our dress code (uniform bottoms with belt, shirt tucked in, and uniform shoes) on this day. Show your school spirit!

State Testing Dates (3rd-5th Grade Students Only)
